Covid-19: New Testing Sites Opening In Connecticut

As Connecticut readies to provide more than three million COVID-19 test kits to local health departments across the state, many locations are still offering free testing, but with one hitch, you might have to wait in a long line.

To help, several new sites are opening across the state including:

Fairfield County: Weston-Westport, Friday, Dec. 31 - 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Weston Intermediate School; 2 kits per household, on a first, come first served basis
Litchfield County: Torrington, Friday, Dec. 31 - 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Torrington Middle School. Enter the school via the East Pearl Road entrance and exit onto Torringford Street. Proof of residency required
Fairfield County: Trumbull, Thursday, Dec. 30 - 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., Unity Park; One test kit per person; Registration is required to obtain a test kit. Register here starting Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 9 a.m.

In addition to the above sites, most drug stores and urgent care facilities, or your primary care doctor are offering testing.

Anyone experiencing symptoms should contact their primary care provider, the state says.
